Akanthus is not just a dermo-cosmetic products e-shop. Its roots come from an everlasting friendship and the experiences of a lifetime.
Our goal is to spread the supreme value of the herbs and ingredients of Greek nature in dermo-cosmetic products, beyond the Greek borders.
Our love for traveling has connected us with many different cultures, and civilizations, and with many people with amazing personalities.
When you travel, you gain experiences. You encounter the sounds, rhythms, tastes, and smells of each country. What we lacked though was the natural Greek scent.
This is how Akanthus was born. We have sealed all the scents and the unique natural healing ingredients of Greek Nature, and we are now happy to offer them to you generously!
Our goal is to create a deep, essential, and trustful relationship with you and not just a superficial customer relationship.
I am Sophia. I grew up in Volos, the most amazing place that combines mountain nature and the sea in perfect harmony.
The mountain became my second home from a young age. I went daily with my father for hiking, skiing, camping, and mushroom picking.
Over the years, I deeply understood the value of Greek nature. I gained a deep ecological consciousness and love for animals & our true “home”, the natural environment.
Today, although I already own 2 companies, I managed to combine my love for Greek nature with my business ambitions. It’s a dream I’ve always had, and now it’s called Akanthus.
I am Eleni. Growing up in Sweden and having the most beautiful memories from Greece, I combined the best elements of both worlds in my daily life and character.
My professional experience in leadership roles in Swedish companies has allowed me to better understand and identify people’s real needs.
My life in Greece boosted tremendously my love for art and confectionery. Thus, I realized how important the right ratio of ingredients is for a perfectly balanced result.
Eventually, over the years, these two worlds came together to create my present. It is called Akanthus, and my purpose is to share it with each of you.

Akanthus innovative dermo-cosmetic products are made from natural ingredients. Their composition comes from an excellent distillate of native herbs and minerals of the Greek Land, beeswax, and olive oil, with the least possible processing*.

*What distinguishes our products is their origin from wild Greek healing herbs with the least possible processing. As a result, the aromas, appearance and texture may slightly vary depending on the seasons.
